Plantain varuval வாழைக்காய் வறுவல்

Plantain varuval is the simple and healthy food with cook in 30 minutes. Plantain, sambar powder, coconut is the main ingredients of this dish

INGREDIENTS

2 plantain
2 tsp of sambar (homemade)
1 tsp of salt
1/4 aniseed (crush)
3/4 cup of coconut (mincing)
2-5 tsp of oil
1 tsp of mustard seed
1 tsp of urad dal
Requried amount of Water
Curry leaves

Plantain clean method


  • Take a two plantain

  • Take a vessel

  • Pour the 2-3 cup of water in vessel

  • Add 2 tsp of curd +1 tsp salt mix equally

  • cut the plantain by half

  • Peel the plantain

  • Cut the plantain

  • Cut the plantain in curd water

  • Soak in 5 - 10 minutes

  • After 5-10 minutes clean the plantain in fresh water.

  • Keep aside.

Grinding method


  • Take a jar

  • Add 1 cup of coconut, 1 tsp of aniseed

  • pour the 3/4 cup of water

  • Now close the jar

  • Grind smoothly



Steps:

  • Take a tava add oil and heat it

  • Add 1 tsp of urad dal and until wait for golden brownish color

  • Add 1 tsp of mustard seed and until wait for explosive

  • Add sliced onion and until wait for golden brownish color

  • Add Curry leaves and coconut grind(medium flame)

  • Add 2 tsp of sambar powder (homemade)

  • Add 1 tsp of salt

  • Add plantain (medium flame)

  • Add little bit of water if the is not cook

  • In all ingredients mix well equally

  • Boil in 10 minutes

  • plantain boil almost completed

  • Add 1 tsp of oil(medium flame)

  • Plantain cook well

  • Serve it
