Spinach sambar தண்டு கீரை சாம்பார்


Spinach sambar is the healthy dish and cook in 30 - 45 minutes. Spinach, dal, kuzhambu powder, coconut is the main ingredients of this dish

INGREDIENTS :

50 gram toor dal
2 bundle Spinach (cut 2-3 inches length)
2+1/4 tsp of kuzhambu powder
1 +1/4 tsp of salt
1 big onion (small sizes)
3 small onion (chopped)
1 /4 tsp of turmeric powder
Small pieces of tamarind (soak)
1 cup of Coconut (grind)
1 tsp of mustard seed
1 tsp of urad dal
1 tsp of Asafoetida powder (optional)
Oil
Water (or) rice water

Cut the spinach and wash well

  • Take a vessel add rice water and heat it

  • Add turmeric powder

Add toor dal and boil it

  • Boil well

  • Close the vessel and Boil in 10 - 15 minutes

  • After 15 minutes

  • Toor dal cook well

  • Add Spinach and onion

  • Add kuzhambu powder and salt

  • In all ingredients mix equally and boil in 10 minutes

  • Spinach cook well

  • Add 4-5 tsp of tamarind juice

  • Add coconut grind and boil in medium flame

  • Take a pan add oil and heat it

  • Add urad dal and until wait for explosive

  • Add mustard seed and until for explosive

  • Add chopped onions and until wait for golden brownish color

  • Pour the sauted ingredients in sambar

  • Now switch off the flame

  • Add Asafoetida powder

  • Sambar get ready

  • Serve it
