Spinach sambar தண்டு கீரை சாம்பார்
Spinach sambar is the healthy dish and cook in 30 - 45 minutes. Spinach, dal, kuzhambu powder, coconut is the main ingredients of this dish
INGREDIENTS :
50 gram toor dal
2 bundle Spinach (cut 2-3 inches length)
2+1/4 tsp of kuzhambu powder
1 +1/4 tsp of salt
1 big onion (small sizes)
3 small onion (chopped)
1 /4 tsp of turmeric powder
Small pieces of tamarind (soak)
1 cup of Coconut (grind)
1 tsp of mustard seed
1 tsp of urad dal
1 tsp of Asafoetida powder (optional)
Oil
Water (or) rice water
Cut the spinach and wash well
Take a vessel add rice water and heat it
Add turmeric powder
Add toor dal and boil it
Boil well
Close the vessel and Boil in 10 - 15 minutes
After 15 minutes
Toor dal cook well
Add Spinach and onion
Add kuzhambu powder and salt
In all ingredients mix equally and boil in 10 minutes
Spinach cook well
Add 4-5 tsp of tamarind juice
Add coconut grind and boil in medium flame
Take a pan add oil and heat it
Add urad dal and until wait for explosive
Add mustard seed and until for explosive
Add chopped onions and until wait for golden brownish color
Pour the sauted ingredients in sambar
Now switch off the flame
Add Asafoetida powder
Sambar get ready
Serve it
